ZeBeyond, a leading startup, has developed ePOP, an innovative system simulation software for powertrain optimization. Our software portfolio includes both installed desktop applications and cloud deployments on AWS. Our platform integrates performance, sustainability and financial targets into the early stages of part selection. We are looking for a versatile software engineer to join our small, dynamic team and contribute to the development of the next generation of our software.
About the role:
We seek someone who has a background in automotive engineering or a related field and an interest in software development. We are a flexible team and will adapt to the strengths of the candidate, but the core responsibilities will be:
- Translation of cutting-edge automotive engineering theory into system simulation software eg. Transmission/eMotor modelling
- Customer engagement through demos, first line support
- Creating technical marketing materials for example customer case studies
As a small, agile startup, we value adaptable software engineers who are eager to learn and contribute to various aspects of product development over time. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience.
Application Industry:
- Powertrain development (particular focus on automotive EVs)
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and sustainability
- Corporate financial reporting
Role Requirements:
- Automotive Engineering degree or PhD, or similar field
- Coding experience: C# and MATLAB/Simulink are currently used, and we are migrating to pure C# over time. Experience with other languages eg. Python/C++ also beneficial.

Our software portfolio includes both installed desktop applications and cloud deployments on AWS. The initial responsibility of this role is the redevelopment of our flagship desktop application, ePOP. This is an exciting greenfield project offering the technical freedom to propose and implement system architectures. Proficiency in C# application development with the latest .NET (e.g. .NET 8) is essential for this project.
